Neuroscience Approach to Agile Leadership

A world-class framework and neuroscience approach to developing high-impact, agile leaders:

  • Research indicates that effective leadership skills can impact a company’s bottom line by 28%, yet 87% of organizations do not believe their leaders have sufficient skills to steer their organizations through disruptive change toward future success.
  • Neuro-Link’s High Impact Leadership Agility  Program has proved to help our clients develop agile leaders who significantly drive business results and impact the company’s bottom line.

Rapidly changing technologies coupled with data explosion are disrupting every level of society and every industry. It is redefining the global business landscape and the skills needed to be employable, successful, and competitive.

Organizational success requires mentally agile leaders with a fast, focused, and flexible mind to adapt to new technologies, systems, and structures quickly and easily as well as the ability to learn, unlearn, and relearn, quickly. Organizations will achieve and maintain a competitive advantage if they have leaders with the mental flexibility to out-think, out-learn, out-create, and outperform their competition. This makes brain power a skillset of primary importance for developing agile leaders who follow analytical and creative approaches to solving complex problems.

We follow a neuroscience approach toward developing agile leaders. We believe “One can’t improve what one can’t measure”. We start our leadership agility development process following an integrated approach by doing Neuro Agility Profile® (NAP™) and Emotional Intelligence (E I) assessments of participants. The NAP™ assessment helps participants identify the brain-mind elements that impact the ease, speed, and flexibility with which they think, learn, and process information. It helps them determine how mentally flexible and brain-fit they are and learn how to improve it. The EI assessment measures 12 essential leadership skills.

The High Impact Leadership Agility Program is a powerful leadership development program that follows a neuroscience approach to develop emotionally intelligent and agile leaders.  Our uniquely developed Neuro Agility Profile® Advanced+ brain profile and 12 Emotional Intelligence Competencies Profile® assessments are the point of departure for each leadership module. The program empowers employees with intrapersonal and interpersonal skills to develop emotionally intelligent leaders.

A comprehensive neuroscience framework for performance optimization is followed to develop agile leaders. The program also follows a world-class emotional intelligence framework for leadership development. This framework applies to any person who wants to lead through inspirational example.

Program overview

Main themes covered in this program:

Servant leadership, values-driven leadership, and agile leadership are some of the most constructive and effective forms of leadership in business, education, sports, and politics. The High Impact Leadership Agility Program includes these leadership philosophies as they complement each other. The Neuro Agility and Emotional Intelligence Frameworks form the blueprint for developing agile leaders.

Mental flexibility is a mandatory skill for agile leaders. During disruptive change, agile leaders need a fast, focused, and flexible brain to utilize all modes of thinking and learning, depending on which functions are required in a fast-changing situation. They also need the flexibility to move across multiple ideas and understandings easily and quickly or think about multiple concepts simultaneously. Mental agility is required for smart and effective decision-making during change. It will also help leaders anticipate the best way to go forward; know the best ways to inspire their team; turn thoughts and ideas into actions; and evaluate results for successes and failures. Leadership agility increases a leader’s ability to be more situationally aware and adapt to changing situations quickly.

Servant leadership is about inspiring, serving, and influencing others. All people can serve, inspire, and influence others, but in different ways. During this program, you will explore a neuroscience approach to how accurate awareness of your neurological design and intelligence preferences will determine how you influence, serve, and inspire others. Your neuro-design is the point of departure for developing each leadership competence.

Values-driven leadership is about leaders embracing and embodying values they perceive to be greater than their ego, comfort, and existence. They are purpose-driven leaders whose values are born from their purpose. Their purpose is clear because they accurately understand who they are, what they stand for, and what they believe. The point of departure for developing values-driven leaders is using our Emotional Intelligence Framework.
