Our Story
Neuro-Link was founded in 1992 by Dr. André Vermeulen with a simple conviction: you can’t improve what you can’t measure.
At the time, the people development industry was built on opinion, observation, and personality labels. Dr. Vermeulen saw a gap — there was no practical tool to measure the brain-mind elements that actually determine how fit, fast, focused and flexible the brain is for optimum thinking, learning, and performance. So he set out to create one.
Working within the specialized field of the neuroscience of learning and performance optimization, he developed the Neuro Agility Profile® abbreviated as NAP™. This assessment is positioned at the an unusually useful intersection of neuroscience + human performance + learning + leadership + coaching + talent development. It is a science-backed assessment that goes beyond personality typing to measure cognitive functioning, brain fitness, mental flexibility, and risk of human errors. The NAP™ is a preference-based development assessment grounded in measurable brain-mind elements. It is not a psychometric test, but a practical instrument for real-world performance improvement. NAP assessments identify development needs and offers solutions to improve performance.
What started as a consulting practice in Pretoria, South Africa has grown into an international boutique consultancy that licenses business partners and practitioners across the globe to use, distribute and sell Neuro Agility assessments and learning solutions.
Since 2017 the Neuro Agility Framework and methodology has been incorporated as a post graduate module for Honors neurophysiology and sports students at the University of Pretoria. The effectiveness of the Neuro-Agility Profile® (NAP™) is constantly tested by post graduate research studies in various academic and training contexts, demonstrating its impact on cognitive performance, learning efficiency, and stress management.
